Christmas Sock Drive for the Homeless
Socks are considered to be the number one essential item needed by people in a shelter or in a homeless situation. The Fordland Middle School Kindness Club worked to collect socks for the homeless during the month of December. These kids recognize the needs of others over their own and work hard to show it. This hard work paid off as they collected two large boxes of socks that were given to The Kitchen in Springfield. The Kitchen's mission is to prevent and end homelessness in the local communities right here in the Ozarks, by providing housing and stabilizing services with dignity and compassion. The Kindness Club would also like to thank Dr. Ford who made a generous contribution, which is only one of many examples of the generosity and kindness shared by the students, families and staff here at Fordland. Thank you to the community for your support. As always, “It’s a Great Day to be an EAGLE”!!!!!!
