Fordland Board approves April ballot initatives

Operation Eagle Pride

Renovation - Expansion - Innovation - Retention

The Fordland Board of Education unanimously approved an April ballot initiative for a no tax increase bond issue and a .36 levy increase.

Operation Eagle Pride is the second phase of the District's Long Range Plan that was adopted by the Board of Education in 2014; however, it's about more than buildings and projects. The school district is focused on providing the highest level of educational opportunities for the students of the Fordland R-3 School District.

Fordland voters will see a two questions from the Fordland R-3 School District on the April 7th, 2020 ballot — a $2.64 million no tax increase bond and levy issue.  The ballot projects include renovating, expanding, and innovate learning and activity spaces at the high school, middle school, and elementary campuses.

The proposed levy will allow the district to increase compensation for ALL employees in order to attract and retain quality faculty and staff and fund the costs of capital projects.
